As a series of initial steps, prototyping is indispensable in interaction design. When we meet different problems, we should provide different solutions. To help us complete the first step of the lo-fi process.
So what is fidelity?
Fidelity refers to the extent to which the prototype can restore the similarity and fidelity of the final product. For example, a hand-drawn wireframe can be considered a low fidelity prototype, while a rendering made by a graphics software can be called a high fidelity prototype.
Low-fidelity prototypes

A low-fidelity prototype, such as a wireframe, is a relatively simple and preliminary work to be done in prototyping. The goal is to establish the basic structure needed and to sort out the various interfaces needed.
